How to Share an Amazon Cart (2026 Guide)

Method 1: Share with a browser extension
AMZ Cart Share is a free extension for desktop versions of Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. It creates one link containing the supported items in your Amazon cart and their selected quantities.
Only the sender needs the extension. The recipient can open the shared link, review the cart, and continue to Amazon without installing anything.

Step 1: Install the extension
Install AMZ Cart Share for Chrome, or choose the Edge or Firefox version. After installation, the AMZ Cart Share icon appears with your browser extensions. You may need to open the puzzle-piece menu and pin it.
Step 2: Check your Amazon cart
Open your Amazon cart on the same desktop browser. Check that the correct products and quantities are present before creating the link.
You do not need to sign in to Amazon to create and send a link from a guest cart.

Step 3: Create and send the cart link
Open AMZ Cart Share from the browser toolbar and create the link. The link captures the cart at that moment, including the selected quantities.

Copy your shareable link and send it by email, text message, Slack, WhatsApp, or any other messaging service. Sending the link doesn't give the recipient access to your Amazon account.
Step 4: The recipient reviews the shared cart
When the recipient opens the link, they see a review page listing the shared products and quantities. They do not need the AMZ Cart Share extension or an Amazon account to view this page.

After reviewing the items, the recipient can select Continue to Amazon to open Amazon's add-to-cart confirmation page.
Step 5: The recipient adds and purchases the items
Amazon shows the products and quantities again before anything is added. The recipient just needs to click Add To Cart, and all the items will be added into their own Amazon shopping cart.

The link doesn't place an order or purchase anything. The recipient remains in control of the final cart and signs in to their own Amazon account when they proceed to checkout.

Important limitations
- A shared link is a read-only snapshot of the cart when it was created.
- If the sender changes the original cart, the shared link doesn't update. You should create and send a new link instead.
- The link transfers item details and quantities only. It does not place the recipient's order. The recipient reviews their cart after adding the shared items, and completes checkout themselves.
What gets shared, and what doesn't
A shared cart link contains product identifiers (ASINs) and the quantities you selected. Here is what the recipient does and does not receive:

Method 2: Share an Amazon Wish List instead
Amazon supports sharing Wish Lists, a collection of items grouped together into a separate list.
A Wish List is useful when the list needs to remain editable after it is shared. The tradeoff is that it is separate from your cart, so you must add the products to the list manually, which can be cumbersome. Especially if you have lots of different items!
How to share an Amazon Wish List
- Add products to a list. Open each product page and use Add to List near the purchase controls.
- Open and review the list. Select Account & Lists, open the relevant list, and confirm its contents.
- Invite the recipient. Select Invite, then choose view-only or view-and-edit access.
- Copy the link. Send the list link to the people who need it.

Once you've created your Wishlist and added items to it, you can share it with people using the "+ Invite" button in the top left:

Method 3: Share Amazon items manually
For one or two products, you can copy each product URL and send the links directly.
