AMZ Cart Share is a browser extension that reads the items in your Amazon shopping cart to create a shareable link of your cart items. It doesn't access your Amazon account, payment details, or personal information.
This page explains exactly what the extension can and cannot do, what data leaves your browser, and what a shared cart link contains.
AMZ Cart Share is a Manifest V3 Chrome extension. It requests the following permissions:

AMZ Cart Share does not request more invasive browser permissions - like tabs, cookies, webRequest, history, bookmarks, identity - that would grant access to sensitive data like your browsing activity, account credentials, or other websites.
Our extensions only request the minimum permissions needed to access the data they require, and nothing more.
When you click the extension icon on an Amazon cart page, it reads:
Our extensions do not access any sensitive credentials, payment information, shipping addresses, order history, browsing data, or other personal information.
When you create a cart link, the extension sends the ASINs, quantities, and locale to our website/server. The server constructs a special short cart link for you to preview and share. No personal information is included in this request or stored alongside the link.
A shared cart link (generated via our extensions) is a shortened URL that points to Amazon, with prefilled ASIN and quantity parameters. When a recipient opens the link, Amazon shows them the products and quantities so they can review and add the items to their own cart.
AMZ Cart Share stores shared links as shortened URLs on our servers. No personal data is attached to these links. The extension itself stores only local preferences in your browser using the Chrome storage API, and this data never leaves your device.
